The InSync Icon Bar, located at the left side of the screen below the Information Bar, gives the user a number of shortcuts to be used for quickly navigating through the system; these will direct the user to a few of the system’s most accessed screens. Full navigation is facilitated by the tabs located on the left side of the screen. Icon descriptions can be found below:

 

          Dashboard icon – Returns the user to the InSync Dashboard

 

Note: Clicking this icon will effectively clear the current patient from memory.

 

            Scheduler icon – Takes the user to the Appointment Calendar

 

              Patient Search icon – Directs the user to the Patient Search screen

              Facesheet icon – Takes the user to the Facesheet of the current patient he/she is looking at

Note: If no patient is currently in memory, the user will be directed to the Patient Search screen.

                New Charge icon – Brings the user to the Charge Entry screen, where he/she can generate, review, and edit existing claims

          Payments icon – Allows the user to apply Insurance and Patient payments to specific claims

          Admin icon – Allows the user to change administrative settings within the InSync software

          Meaningful Use (MU) icon – Takes the user to the Meaningful Use Center, where he/she can search by provider/date range and view each provider’s progress in meeting various MU measures

        Document Manager icon – Takes the user to the Document Manager module, where Scanned Documents and Electronic Files can be uploaded and attached to a specific patient in an organized fashion

      Checked In icon – The provider hears a beep sound on every checked in appointment. Whenever a new appointment is checked in for user, system will produce a beep sound with this icon in left panel and a message appearing on top. This feature is also available for Medical Assistants / Nurses. When they are logged into InSync, they can hear a beep sound for every checked in appointment for the providers they have selected. The same feature is also available for New Appointment and arrival of new To Do.
