Patients cannot be deleted from InSync but should instead be marked Inactive. This effectively prevents a patient from displaying in Patient Search results or appearing on system reports.

To deactivate a patient:

1.Click the Patient Search icon to perform a patient search.
2.Click the Edit icon to edit patient details. The Patient Information tab is opened.
3.In the Patient Details section, select the Patient Status as 'Inactive' from the drop-down.
4.Click Save.

Note: You can inactivate a patient only when there are no future appointments and no in-progress encounters.
