The system allows you to create the templates for notes that you can use at the time of entering notes in Treatment Plan. This is to avoid repeating lengthy notes, in case you want to use the same notes for many patients by just changing a few details. These templates are known as macros. You can configure the macros for all the recommend types and their master values individually or at once. Once the macros are configured, you can use them to enter the notes in charting.

 

To configure a macro:

1.On the Treatment Plan Configuration screen, click theINSYNC~1_img641icon corresponding to any master value for any recommend type. The system is capable of configuring a macro from any master value. The Macro Configuration screen opens.
2.On the Macro Configuration screen, click Add Macro.

*Note: To edit any existing macro, select the one from the drop-down list, and then click Edit Macro.

3.On the Macro Configuration screen, do the following.
•Enter a name in the Macro Name field. This field is mandatory.
•Enter the note that you want to configure as a macro (template).
•Design the template the way you want by using the options (e.g., check box, radio button, text box), picking up from the top.
•The personal pronouns (he/she, him/her, and his/her) can be displayed as per the patient's sex by configuring macros accordingly. To display;
•he or she as per the patient’s sex, enter ##HeShe## when configuring macro template,
•his or her as per the patient’s sex, enter ##HisHer## when configuring macro template,
•him or her as per the patient’s sex, enter ##HimHer## when configuring macro template.

*Note: Please contact the INSYNC EMR support to create macros at the time of Implementation.

•In the Recommend Type section, select the check boxes corresponding to the sections you want to add the macro created. Select the All check box to add the macro created for all sections.
•In the Recommend Master Values section below, select the All check box to add the macro created for all master values. To configure the macro for specific master values, click the INSYNC~1_img642icon to view the master values for the selected recommend types, as shown in the following screen.
•Select one or more check boxes corresponding to the master values for which you want to add the macro created.
•Click Save to save the new macro.
