After you finish entering Contact Details, you can specify at which facility the patient is going to be located, as well as the primary provider, referring provider, and additional demographic information.
• | If a referring provider is not located within the software, click the icon and type the referring provider’s information. Click Save and It will automatically be saved for future use. |
• | If a primary care provider is not located within the software, click the icon and type the primary care provider’s information. Click Save and It will automatically be saved for future use. |
• | The “Signature on File (Box 12)/Signature on File (Box 13)” check boxes are preselected for the user and are used to link a patient signature to the corresponding boxes in an electronic claim file or paper HCFA form. |
• | You can also record patient's agreement to share clinical details with other providers by selecting the "Patient agrees to share record with PCP" check box. |
• | Select the check box Eligible for Sliding Fee Scale to enable sliding fee scale feature for that patient. Click the Add Family Income button to add details. |
Note: When you keep the Signature on File(Box 13) deselected, the system prompts a message to change the payment responsibility to Patient when transmitting a claim. Upon your positive response, the responsibility is changed to Patient; otherwise, it remains as Insurance. You can manually change it to Patient whenever required.
